St Peter's College's Plans for 11 New Road

The Oxford City Council is selling 11 New Road, a mixed-use property which directly adjoins St Peter’s College estate. St Peter’s College currently leases a six-bedroom student flat within the building and has reached an agreement with the Council to purchase the property, subject to planning permission. St Peter’s College plans to retain the business tenants, Castle News and Classy Barbers, occupying the ground floor of the building. The rest of the property will be converted into 24 student rooms across the other existing floors and a proposed additional floor. This project is in line with the College’s strategic commitment to increase the amount of College accommodation available to students who would otherwise be out on Oxford’s private rental market.
