Undergraduate teaching at St Peter's College features Oxford's distinctive tutorial system.
What is a tutorial?
Our small-group tutorial teaching style distinguishes the undergraduate Oxford academic experience from that of nearly any other university in the world. In addition to a wealth of classes, labs, seminars, and lectures available throughout College and the University, students typically have one or two tutorials per week. Tutorials are conversational meetings in which groups of two or three students meet with individual tutors to discuss subject topics and readings and to process feedback on prepared work. Thanks to the tutorial system, your academic journey will be closely monitored by mentors who are experts in their subjects, and who will provide close attention and guidance to your learning and ideas as they take shape.
