About

I did my undergraduate studies in Physics just around the corner at Jesus College, before completing my PhD at Princeton University. My path into research began with a summer research project at Oxford many years ago. This rewarding experience, combined with my passion for physics, inspired me to pursue an academic career. I have had the pleasure of working in a range of academic institutions from the University of Cambridge to the Kavli Institute in Tokyo to the Simons Foundation, New York. These experiences have exposed me to a range of research and teaching environments, and I hope to combine the ideas that I found most energizing into my work at St Peters.

Teaching

My teaching at the College is primarily through tutorials, and I am excited to explore a broad range of topics with the students. At the department I provide lectures in a range of topics in cosmology and astrophysics. Finally, I work with summer undergraduate students, and I hope to provide them with an experience as exciting and inspiring as my own undergraduate summer project.

Research

My area of expertise is Cosmology. I am interested in studying the properties of the Universe, such as its age and composition, and the processes that govern its evolution. If we are lucky, we may even learn new insights into the Universe’s earliest moments. I find this field fascinating as it not only requires facing some of the big open questions, such as how our Universe began, but understanding the phenomena in the cosmos requires a diverse range of subjects from physics to chemistry. This means that I am always learning something new!

In summer 2026, I organised an exhibit at the Royal Society’s Summer Science Exhibition.

I currently hold a Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Ernest Rutherford Fellowship.
