St Peter’s medicine student Abigail Jones was awarded the 2025 Wronker Research Project Prize for her research project, Using nanobody-based strategies to enhance Mamu-E crystallisation.
She said,
‘It is a privilege to have been awarded the FHS Wronker Research Project Prize. My research explored using a nanobody, which is a small fragment of an antibody, to improve the crystallisation of specific proteins. I am incredibly grateful for the excellent support and guidance I received from my supervisors Professor Geraldine Gillespie and Max Quastel at the Nuffield Department of Medicine. I would also like to express my gratitude to my outstanding tutors at St Peter’s College, with particular thanks to Dr Huw Dorkins and Professor Randy Bruno for their excellent mentorship during the Preclinical Medicine course.’
