St Peter’s Director of Music Quintin Beer has been honoured with an Associateship of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) for his contributions to the music profession.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music (MA in Choral Conducting), Quintin is a well-established and versatile musician, prize-winning conductor and choral director. At St Peter’s, Quintin oversees the College’s musical programming and directs the St Peter’s College Choir. In addition to his work at St Peter’s, Quintin is Director of Music at St Cuthbert’s Church, Earl's Court and Musical Director of Saffron Walden Choral Society. This past November, he brought together the St Peter’s College and Saffron Walden Choral Society choirs for a joint performance of Edward Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius.

The Royal Academy of Music said in its statement that the award is given to a select number of notable alumni each year ‘to recognise and celebrate their significant contributions to the musical landscape.’ To learn more about Quintin’s work in and beyond Oxford, visit his website here.
