Alumnus and Honorary Fellow Paul Farmer (History, 1984) featured on Desert Island Discs

St Peter’s alumnus and Honorary Fellow Paul Farmer CBE (History, 1984), a charity leader and campaigner currently serving as the Chief Executive of Age UK, has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s hit show, Desert Island Discs.

In his interview, he discusses the impact studying at Oxford and St Peter’s College had on his life:

‘I went to St Peter’s, which is [a] very unpretentious, lovely space, and immediately I just found my home. I felt that the combination of the people and being able to immerse yourself in the subject was an utter joy […] it just felt like a place where you could be yourself.’
