The son of alumna Stephanie Manchester (1987) and brother to alumna Kate Ramsay (2018) will make St Peter’s one of his key stops as he runs eight consecutive marathons to raise money for Anthony Nolan, a cancer charity.
Sam Ramsay will run this multi-marathon, dubbed ‘84K8’ in honour of his sister Kate, who was diagnosed with leukaemia shortly after graduating from St Peter’s College. He is raising money for the charity Anthony Nolan, which enabled Kate to receive the life-saving transplant and treatment required for her form of cancer.
Because of his family’s strong connection to St Peter’s College, Sam chose St Peter’s as one of his eight marathon destinations.
Sam will run about 217 miles from University College London Hospital, via St Peter’s, to Chorley, starting on Saturday 8 June and finishing on Saturday 15 June. For those wishing to cheer him on, Sam expects to arrive at St Peter’s College at approximately 3pm on Sunday 9 June, and will depart from the Porters’ Lodge at 9am on Monday 10 June.
