Living at St Peter's (Postgraduate)

The college occupies a site in the heart of the city, close to many University departments and libraries, and to both bus and train stations. Oxford’s shops, cafes, theatres and cinemas are just minutes away.

The sections below provide general information about the accommodation, food and facilities on offer to postgraduate students at St Peter's. For more information on costs, please visit the Fees and Finance page.

St Peter's gives priority to the housing of postgraduates who are new to Oxford in college-owned accommodation.

Further rooms are available through the University’s Accommodation Service, the allocation of which is under the control of the college’s Accommodation Manager. Occupants will be required to sign a “nomination agreement” before taking up residence.

The daily average room rate, including utilities and services is £22.74, and the most common length of graduate contract is 266 days.

The dining hall, available to all students, provides breakfast, lunch and informal dinners, with brunch at the weekends, on a pay-as-you-go basis. In addition, St Peter's has lively formal dinners on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with special menus for themed dinners such as Thanksgiving and Burns Night.

You can expect meal costs to be in the following order:
