College Bar Manager

The Bar Manager reports directly to the Domestic Bursar and is responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective operation of the College Bar. The role includes supervision of student bar staff, ensuring compliance with the Licensing Act 2003, and maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.

The College Bar is one of the most popular and welcoming social spaces at St Peter’s College. It sits at the heart of the JCR community, complementing the Junior Common Room as a space for students to gather, relax, and socialise, which reflects the strong sense of community within St Peter’s. The bar is run in partnership with the JCR, ensuring it remains an inclusive, safe and enjoyable space for all.

Salary:  The salary is in the range of £32,000 – £34,000 per annum (depending on experience).

This is a permanent full-time role, and the required hours of work will be 40 hours per week spread over an alternating shift pattern, days and evenings, including weekends.

Second Chef (Sous Chef)

The Second Chef (Sous Chef) will work closely with the Head Chef and be a key member of a small, close-knit team. You will be assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to achieve outstanding customer service, overseeing quality, assisting with menu creation and achieving excellent standards of health and safety and food safety.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent craft skills, have a proven track record of setting and achieving objectives, be flexible in approach, be able to work from their own initiative, and have a very professional approach to work.

Salary:  The salary is in the range of £35,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience).

This is a permanent full-time role, and the required hours of work will be 40 hours per week spread over an alternating shift pattern, days and evenings, including weekends.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead

St Peter’s College is seeking to recruit for the post of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead (EDI Lead) for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of renewal for further years.  The EDI Lead chairs the EDI Forum, whose members represent the academic and support staff, the Junior Common Room (undergraduate students), and the Middle Common Room (postgraduate students). The Forum meets twice a term. The Forum’s agenda is driven by the interests of Forum members (particularly student representatives), the EDI Lead’s facilitation, and the whole College’s ongoing desire to better understand, promote, and embed diversity and inclusive principles and practices across all areas of its operation.

The starting salary will be £3,769.40 PA [calculation based on 0.1 of G7.1 of the nationally negotiated pay spine]. This figure assumes an average commitment of half a day per week (0.1 FTE). In practice, the pattern of work is likely to vary considerably over the academic year; it is anticipated that more time may be invested during term-time and less during vacations.

Development Coordinator

St Peter’s College is seeking a Development Coordinator to join its friendly Development and Alumni Relations Office at a pivotal moment in the College’s history. As we prepare for our centenary fundraising campaign, this is an exciting time to play a role in supporting plans to celebrate this significant milestone and strengthen the future of the College through philanthropy.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in fundraising and alumni relations. Providing support across major gift fundraising, regular giving and alumni events as well as general office administration, the post will suit a highly organised and motivated individual with some administrative experience, who enjoys working collaboratively within a small, dynamic and busy team.

The Appointment will be on Grade 4 of the nationally negotiated pay spine, currently

£26,707 - £33,002 per annum FTE.
