Living Wage Employer

St Peter’s College invites applications for a Graduate Scholarship in Biomedical Sciences established by the Gustav Born Trust. The scholarship is open to students who during the academic year 2019-20 will be in their second or third year of graduate studies (with a preference for those who will be in their second year), and reading for a research degree of the University of Oxford. They may be engaged in research in any field of biomedical sciences. 

The successful candidate will be expected to be or to become a member of St Peter’s College. The value of the award will be up to £5000 per annum. Subject to satisfactory progress, it may be renewed during the period in which the student is liable for College and University fees.

Schools Liaison Officer 

St Peter’s College wishes to appoint a committed, talented and efficient team player to coordinate and run the outreach activities of the College. 

Since the appointment of the College’s first full-time Schools Liaison Officer in 2011, St Peter’s has expanded its outreach activities around an ambitious programme of events aimed at attracting candidates with the greatest potential to study at Oxford, and St Peter’s, regardless of background. 

The new appointee will have the task of building on these initiatives and developing a strategy in consultation with the Tutor for Admissions, the Senior Tutor, and other members of the College, building a closer working relationship with other colleges also undertaking outreach work in the North West of England. 

Appointment will be on Grade 6 of the University’s salary scale for non-academic staff, £28,660 - £34,189 FTE.

Casual Dining Hall Assistants (Waiting Staff)

St Peter’s College wishes to build up a pool of casual staff to work in our Dining Hall and Servery at busy times of the year, and particularly during our summer conference seasons.

Applicants must polite, friendly, reliable and well-presented. All of our waiting staff must be able to work to a high standard of cleaning and hygiene. Previous experience of working in a catering environment is essential, although further training will be provided if necessary.

In return we offer £9.00 per hour, a free meal on duty, and the opportunity to gain exceptional catering and hospitality experience.

Applicants should be able to work mainly evenings and weekends on a flexible casual basis.
