The College Nurse provides health, health-related and sound welfare advice.

Kate Tempest is an RGN, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She has worked as a College Nurse in Oxford since 2012 and was previously a School Nurse. Her clinical background is Intensive Care and Aviation Nursing. She has a BSc Hons and MSc in Nursing Studies from Kings College London. She is also a Registered Health Visitor and has a PGCE teaching qualification.

She also liaises regularly with the Jericho Health Centre.

Office location and hours

Ground Floor, Staircase 4, Room 3 (weeks 0 to 9)

Kate is available for certain periods each weekday (see below) during term time. She offers opportunities for both face-to-face and Teams appointments. You can book to see her using this link, or drop in during the first hour of her in-person surgery time.

If you require a meeting outside of Kate's office hours, you may request an online call by emailing her. Not all requests may be accommodated.

The College Nurse and College Doctors have close links. To improve continuity, Nurse consultations are recorded directly on the GP medical record system and the College Nurse can access student medical records as required in order to provide the best possible care.
