Mr Douglas Shaw

Douglas Shaw was appointed Bursar and Fellow of the College from 1 Jan 2019 in succession to James Graham, who served the college with distinction from 2013 to 2018.

Doug studied Geography at Lady Margaret Hall (1983) on whose Investment Committee he serves. At St Peter’s, he is responsible for finance, HR, IT, marketing, buildings management, corporate events and catering.

Prior to joining St Peter’s, Doug worked in financial services, most notably at BlackRock, the Children’s Investment Fund and Gartmore. He also serves as a member of the Westminster Abbey Investment Panel. Doug is married with two sons. He (still) plays cricket and hockey, and enjoys cycling and bridge.
