  • Stipendiary Lecturer in German

Originally from Southern Germany, I studied German and Theology at the University of Eichstätt, came to Oxford as a graduate student to St Edmund Hall, where I specialised in the area of Medieval German Mysticism, and, funded by the British Academy, completed my MSt in Research Methods in Modern Foreign Languages in 1998 and my Staatsexamen in Germany in 1999.

In the following years, I taught German in the contexts of Secondary School and Adult Education near Manchester, before returning to Oxford in 2013.

Teaching

Since 2013, I have been teaching Translation into German. I now teach students of all years of study in a number of Colleges, including St Peter’s.

I also offer tutorials to visiting students of different levels of German and lessons in business German.
