Dr Alison Ray

Alison is responsible for the development and management of the College’s historic archives and modern records relating to the members, governance, fabric, and history of St Peter’s. She further cares for the College’s silverware and artwork, including its large collection of paintings by Duncan Grant (1885-1978).

Prior to St Peter’s, Alison has held roles at Trinity College Dublin Library, Canterbury Cathedral Archives and Library, and the British Library’s Ancient, Medieval, and Early Modern curatorial team. She earned her PhD in Medieval History from University College London and holds a PGDip in Archive Administration from Aberystwyth University. Alison is currently an honorary researcher at the Centre of Medieval and Early Modern Studies, University of Kent.
