St Peter's wins Student Switch Off 2016
Last night, at an awards ceremony held in the Blavatnik School of Government, St Peter's was announced as the overall winner of the Student Switch Off competition 2016.
Student Switch Off is a National Union of Students (NUS) engagement programme funded and supported by the Environmental Sustainability team, Estates Services. The Programme uses social media, competitions and peer to peer led engagement to raise the awareness of energy saving to a diverse group as possible. St Peter's was the only college to achieve the highest ranking (Platinum) in all categories, and not only won the competition overall, but helped ensure that the students of Oxford were once again the best in the UK.
Switch Off Ambassador Tim Bird (2014, Geography) and the Bursar were on hand to receive the award from the Vice Chancellor, Professor Louise Richardson.
Congratulations to all those St Peter's students who took part and helped raise awareness of this important issue.
