St Peter's welcomes Prof Devanand Shinde
St Peter's is delighted to welcome Professor Devanand Shinde, Vice Chancellor, Shivaji University, Kolhapur and NAMASTE Fellow, to Oxford.
Professor Shinde, who is being hosted at St Peter's by Professor Mark Moloney, E P Abraham Fellow and Tutor in Chemistry (above, left), will be in the city over the course of the next month.
Professor Shinde is using this opportunity to explore further scientific and research links with Oxford University, and to develop his own research interests which lie in the design of enzyme inhibitors for use as antibacterial agents.
NAMASTE fellowships aim to improve mutual understanding between the EU and India and enhance political, cultural, educational, and economic links of India with the EU.
