St Peter's to participate in Oxford Open Doors 2019
St Peter's College will throw open its doors to the public as part of the 2019 Oxford Open Doors weekend, organised by the Oxford Preservation Trust in conjunction with the University of Oxford.
Oxford Open Doors is an annual celebration of Oxford across all walks of life, its places and its people. The grounds and chapel of St Peter's will be open to visitors on Sunday, 15 September between 9.00 and 17.00.
Founded in 1929, St Peter's is the youngest college within the old city boundaries. Its buildings range in date from the late 18th to early 21st centuries. The college chapel is home to a poignant display of the medals won during the First World War by the children of Francis James Chavasse, founder of St Peter’s, including the double Victoria Cross awarded to his son, Noel.
