Prof Dapo Akande on BBC World Service
Prof Dapo Akande, Yamani Fellow and Tutor of Public International Law at St Peter's and Professor of Public International Law, appeared this morning on the BBC World Service programme, Newsday.
Prof Akande, who has varied research interests within the field of general international law, was interviewed about an appeals court in Senegal upholding the life sentence of Hissène Habré, former Chad president, on war crimes charges.
The sentence represents the first time an African Union backed court has tried a former ruler for human rights abuses.
