Perrodo Building shortlisted for RIBA Award
The newly-completed Hubert Perrodo Building at St Peter's has been shortlisted for a prestigious 2018 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Award.
The building, which was officially opened by Lord Patten of Barnes, Chancellor of the University, along with members of the Perrodo family, on 13 March 2018, has been nominated for a RIBA South Award, alongside a selection of other buildings from Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.
Designed by Design Engine Architects, the completion of the Hubert Perrodo Building marked the culmination of Phase 2 of the Perrodo Project, which was made possible by a generous donation from the Perrodo family, one of the largest in St Peter's history, and has resulted in a transformation of the college's public and teaching spaces.
The building is named in honour of the late Hubert Perrodo (1944-2006), whose sons, François and Bertrand, were both students at St Peter’s.
