This week's edition of the New Statesman carries an article by Mark Damazer CBE, Master of St Peter's, on the current debate surrounding university tuition fees.

In the article, the Master examines the various debates that have taken place with regards to tuition fees since they were first introduced in the late 1990s, comparing British circumstances with those elsewhere, and arguing that, if nothing else, the current government should look to cut the interest rate, which is nearly 6% above the base rate, on outstanding loans.
