Master on Brexit and BBC coverage

Mark Damazer CBE, Master of St Peter's, has published an article in the 20-26 July issue of the New Statesman concerning the BBC's coverage of Brexit.

The Master, who was formerly controller of BBC Radio 4, writes on how the ongoing Brexit debate is affecting programming decisions, arguing that it is inaccurate to view the BBC's coverage, which has come under criticism from both sides, through the prism of something like climate change journalism.

Acknowledging that the BBC has not been perfect in its coverage of European affairs, both historically and more recently, Mark argues that it would be wrong to expect it to shut out certain voices from the debate.
