Last night, St Peter's welcomed renowned Hollywood producer, Eric Fellner CBE, for the latest talk in college.

Eric has served as producer or executive producer on more than sixty films, including Four Weddings and a Funeral, Fargo, Notting Hill, United 93 and Bridget Jones's Diary

He also worked on the recent Churchill biopic, Darkest Hour, which was recognised with an Oscar at the 2018 Academy Awards.

Speaking before a gathering of students and staff, Eric touched on various topics, including his experiences of working with Hollywood luminaries such as Hugh Grant, currently star of the highly-acclaimed BBC drama, A Very English Scandal, and the Coen Brothers, and the current mood in the film industry following the accusations made against Harvey Weinstein, and others.

Eric also spoke about his efforts to establish the Working Title School, a new north London sixth-form college specialising in film, which will look to increase diversity within the film industry, and is due to open in September 2019.

He then took time to field a range of questions from the Master, Mark Damazer CBE, and members of the audience.

Eric Fellner is the latest in a series of high-profile visitors to St Peter's, which, in recent months, has welcomed everyone from leading academic, Prof Mary Beard, to comedian and author, David Mitchell.
