Dr Joanna Neilly and the literary influences of Gustav Mahler

The latest series of the podcast Embrace Everything – The World of Gustav Mahler is now available for streaming of download.

Created and hosted by award-winning radio producer Aaron Cohen, the series uses interviews with leading interpreters and scholars, among them Dr Joanna Neilly, Fellow in Tutor in German at St Peter's, to explore and celebrate the music of Gustav Mahler (1860–1911) through his symphonies.

Season 2 focuses on Mahler’s Second Symphony in C minor (1888-1893), delving into his gigantic musical exploration of life, death, and what lies beyond. Each episode is devoted to a movement of the symphony, with Dr Neilly being interviewed about Mahler’s literary influences.
