Dr Claire Williams's latest book published
The latest book by Dr Claire Williams, Fellow and Tutor in Portuguese at St Peter's, has been published by Peter Lang Oxford.
Feminine Singular: Women Growing Up through Life-Writing in the Luso-Hispanic World presents a series of essays, edited together with Maria-José Blanco of King's College London, that explore the ways in which women have used diaries, autobiographies, biographies, memoirs, travel writing and poetry, as well as forms of visual art, to express their sense of identity in the Luso-Hispanic world.
The volume brings together critics and academics working in Europe and the Americas who are engaging with the work of women from different countries, produced in locations ranging from a 16th-century convent to a 21st-century kitchen.
