David Mitchell at St Peter's

The college chapel was once again packed out last night for another St Peter's talk, with the guest of honour this time being none other than comedian, writer and actor, David Mitchell.

Star of Channel 4’s Peep Show, and one half of the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb, David came to St Peter's for the first time to give a wide-ranging talk to students, fellows, staff and alumni about the state of the modern world, and the ten things that most annoy him about it, from the light-hearted (guilty pleasures) to the more serious (tribalisation, Brexit).

The talk was followed by a round of questions and answers led by the Master, Mark Damazer CBE, who concluded the evening by presenting David with a comedic selection of books he felt would help him survive the modern world, including a biography of Theresa May and a Jeremy Corbyn colouring book.

Photos of the talk can be viewed here.
