St Peter's College Choir at Saffron Hall

The Choir of St Peter's College will join the Saffron Walden Choral Society and Britten Sinfonia in a performance at Saffron Hall, Essex, directed by Quintin Beer (Director of Music at St Peter's College and Musical Director for the Saffron Walden Choral Society).

They will perform a programme of twentieth-century British music. Britten's Saint Nicolas (1948) tells stories of the life of St Nicolas, the fourth-century Bishop of Myra in Asia Minor, including the miraculous bringing back to life of three 'pickled boys'. Tenor Nicholas Pritchard will be reprising his role as St Nicolas, which he sang at the Aldeburgh Festival this June.
