BA English (2001)

Born in 1983, Helen Lewis is one of the most high-profile journalists of her generation. She is currently Deputy Editor of the New Statesman, a position to which she was appointed in 2012. Helen came up to St Peter’s in 2001 and read for a BA in English, followed by a PGDip in Newspaper Journalism from City University, London.  

Helen has presented BBC Radio 4’s Week in Westminster and is a regular panellist on BBC1’s Sunday Politics. She returns to St Peter’s frequently – most recently for forums discussing the 2016 EU Referendum and the 2017 General Election.
