As well as reflecting on how much the College has achieved since 1961, we also wish to secure St Peter’s future for the next 50 years and beyond. Since its foundation, the generosity of alumni and friends has been vital to the College’s development and success, to the benefit of students, academics and the College itself.
St Peter’s is not a wealthy college. We have made significant cost savings in recent years but we are not yet where we would like to be. If we can raise at least £10 million we can gain the confidence to meet the immediate challenges facing the College:
- £ 2.5 million to endow tutorial teaching posts that might otherwise be lost. The tutorial system is the essence of the undergraduate experience.
- £7.5 million to sustain and improve the fabric of the College buildings.
Your 50th Anniversary Gift
There can be no better way to show your support for sustaining St Peter’s for the next 50 years and beyond than through a 50th anniversary gift. You can direct your gift to an area of your choice if it is not covered under the College’s immediate needs.
We are asking our Alumni and Friends to consider making a 50th Anniversary gift to help us meet our target.
