Master's Welcome

A very warm welcome to St Peter's, and I have a blog about St Peter’s – an attempt to reflect at least some of the many things going on in and around the college.

We are a thriving community occupying a tranquil and beautiful spot in the centre of the city. We aim to fulfil the potential of every single student who comes here and we put an emphasis on providing teaching and support of the highest quality for everyone.

St Peter's is an informal college and one that is younger than many of its Oxford counterparts. Most students are British but we have many Fellows and students from around the world - exchanging knowledge, insights and ideas. We are proud of our history and the part we play in one of the great universities of the world but we know that academic excellence is best sustained and supplemented by friendliness, kindness and warmth - virtues that help define our place in a city sharing our own focus on creative energy and intellectual inquiry.

In a nutshell - when anyone leaves St Peter's - no matter how they came here - we want them to share a sense of magic derived from their time at the College.
