Dr Tessa Roynon of the Rothermere American Institute, and Research Fellow at St Peter's is interviewed about her new book, African Athena, which sheds light on old links between classical, African and Middle Eastern cultures. Dr Roynon said that scholars should stop focusing on whether or not culture in ancient Greece had African origins and instead look at how interactions between Greece, Rome, the Middle East and Africa over many centuries can shape our understanding of history.
